YAY! lookit, it's Luce! ain't he purty? =3

i like how his robes ended up; the glowy-effect with my happy little cream marker worked nicely.

i spent, like, HOURS layering his wings because i could never get them to look quite right... ¬_¬ *steals *-coey-'s wing-painting abilities*

unfortunately, most of the colors i use for skin tones scan all yellowish and i have trouble fixing them again. i did his skin in Eggshell, which is actually a nice beige-ish color. his hand turned out okay, though, and i'd been a little worried about that.

the lighting in this pic is kinda weird; Luce's wings (before he lost them in the Great Schism) were supposed to be kinda a grey-violet, but they ended up looking mostly violet. o_O also, it's hard to tell from the scan, but his eyes are indigo at the top, fading into light blue.

just a little excerpt, to give you an idea of what he's like (imagine a light, lazy british accent):

"Luce."

"Loose?" Shauna sniggered.

"Short for Lucifiel, you daft besom."

She gave him a blank look.

"You know..." He waved a hand. "Samael, Lucifer, Lightbearer, Firstborn, Star of Morning..."

Shauna looked up at the ceiling in thought. "The devil?"

"No, not the--" he began, but gave up with a scowl. "Yeah, okay. The devil."

"Cool."

and that's all you get for free. ^_^ jk. actually, most of the stories aren't finished. it's kind of like a heavenly-family sitcom thing combined with some slightly discworldish elements and some nifty supernatural almost-drama stuff. Shauna, btw, is another of my characters; she's a human mercenary undead-hunter (from america), and Luce happens to hear a lot of useful things.
