Artist's Comments

1) darkened the outline of the flame-patterned longcoat.
2) fixed Sakura's crooked nose :doh:
3) reverted to Fountain Pen Frenzy on the title line
4) fewer lens flares
5) bigger lens flare on the title line
6) tried a maple leaf side-border (matches the Naruto versions better)

bg still uses Abstract3 and DarkNebula by and Fractal Pack 01 by , now incorporates Fractal Pack 02 by .


i'm still not sure it's done. it's that left border that keeps sticking me up. i want them off-center like that (it works, somehow...) and i'm really liking the fractal/swirl bg. but i don't know about that left side. if i leave it blank, i feel like the pic is tilting o_o. i like the maple leaf pattern better than the blood spatter though, methinks.

seriously, guys, if you can think of something for me to try on that left border, i'm ALL EARS. *begging*

(i agree, the maple leaf border is much better. Still, the only other idea i can think of for this piece is to combine the maple leaf pattern with a simple white-blue bar. other than that, i would simply zoom in and re-frame -- naruto's coat is nice, but for a team pic like this, it would feel more balanced with less showing down below.)

(now, hurry up and do portrait-pics so that we can admire the craftsmanship you put into this monster. ^_^)

I'm fond of the idea of fire myself... perhaps a border of fire at the bottom with a deep color background, maybe a few trees here and there for balance? Or floaty fire leaves like they are walking into a fire scene?

But then I think, why would they be posing with fire all around? <snicker>

I have fire on the brain...

I'll think on it, maybe something will come to me.

i mean, uh, yeah, fire is always cool. as you said, tho, dunno why they'd be posing in the middle of a fire. :O_o: i mean, the whole 'posing in the rubble' thing worked in So Cold, just because all the Big Explosions of Doom had already happened...i don't think i could pull off having them standing in the middle of a fire...although it might be kinda cool to try. i'm getting shades of the fire scene in Ninja Gaiden -- *run run run* oh noes, m4 h0use is on fir3! oh noes, m4 b3tty is cr04kin'! holy sh!7, some freaky d00d just ch0pped of m4 buddy's head!
